Federalism, decentralization or the left's return for Monarchy in Iran?
Why only Some Iranian Revolutionaries Support Reza Pahlavi and others support decentralization and federalism for Iran? Nearly five decades after the Iranian Revolution , a surprising shift is emerging among former Iranian leftists: some now see the son of the deposed Shah as a possible path forward. However, non-Persians in Iran -- Azeris, Kurds, Baluch, Lors, Arabs and others who together form 50% of the population advocate for federalism and autonomy for the regions. Nearly half of Iranian non-Persian population seem to reject the concepts of "territorial integrity" as the core value, which like Turkey and the Arab states use it as a code for rejecting federalism and autonomy for the regions. The dominant Persian group's language and culture is very disappointing because the left people in these countries believe that they should be dominant and rule the others whom they see as a threat for dividing their country.
