   Yemen’s Houthis threaten to STRIKE U.S. warships in the Red Sea, calling the Iran conflict “a war of the entire Ummah.”

Kurdish Policy Analysis– Yemen’s Houthi movement warned on Friday it would target U.S. vessels in the Red Sea, escalating threats as tensions rise over reported U.S. and Israeli military actions against Iran.

The military spokesperson of the Houthis in Yemen stated: “This war is the war of the entire Ummah. The United States, together with Israel, attacking Iran aims to leave the region entirely under Israeli control. This would mean the destruction of the freedom, independence, and dignity of the Islamic world. We will target American ships and warships in the Red Sea.”

In a televised statement, the group’s military spokesperson said the conflict “is the war of the entire Ummah,” accusing the United States and Israel of seeking to dominate the region and undermine the sovereignty of Islamic nations.

“We will target American ships and warships in the Red Sea,” the spokesperson said, without providing details on timing or specific operations.

The warning comes amid heightened regional instability, with concerns growing over the security of key maritime routes. The Red Sea is a critical corridor for global trade and energy shipments, and any disruption could have far-reaching economic consequences.

The United States has not immediately responded to the statement. Washington has previously condemned Houthi attacks on shipping lanes, describing them as threats to international commerce and security.

The Iran-aligned Houthi group has carried out multiple drone and missile strikes in the Red Sea since the outbreak of broader regional hostilities, often framing its actions as part of a wider confrontation involving Iran, Israel and the United States.

Analysts say further escalation in the Red Sea could increase the risk of direct confrontation between U.S. forces and Iran-backed groups, potentially widening an already volatile conflict across the Middle East.
